To top it off, when a friend who was being the designated driver asked for a glass of water, he was told: “It’s $4.00 for a bottle or I can give you a cup and you can fill it in the bathroom.” (Fill it in the bathroom?)It’s obvious they have the ability to pour a glass of water, but were too lazy and arrogant to accommodate the request by the way, the bar was dead that night and there was nobody waiting for drinks. You see your money spent, but looking around, you have no idea where it goes. The employees let hoodlums hangout in front of the entrance smoking cigarette sand blocking the entry, the drinks are all measured electronically & the beer is way over priced for the venue. This bar is old, dirty and has the worst customer service anywhere around. You are better off at any other bar on the Halsted strip. This place is the worst representation of the Chicago gay community. Monday night's is great if you want a live band with some karaoke. The bartenders were both really hot but the service was a little on the slow side. I got a Leinenkugel pint and that was 5.00 which is a little pricey but I'm not going to complain because of the awesome drink special's that they were offering. Obviously if you order drinks that aren't on special then yea they're going to be a little more expensive. I saw some of the reviews were complaining about drink prices. My friend and I went on a Monday night and you can get pint's of Miller Lite for 2.50 and pitchers for 10. They give the option on a small martini for those who like the taste but cant stand the punch and a regular martini. Roscoe's does have drink specials nightly.

My friend and I sat in the back of the bar by the coat rail because the bar itself was full and we were able to people watch which is always fun!!!!! The bar itself literally takes up 3/4 of the main room and it looked like there was a smaller bar in the back? The guys at this bar are very easy on the eyes. The crowd at Roscoe's was quite interesting and diverse. I was really looking forward to hitting Boystown and experiencing the gay community in such a lively and big city like Chicago. This was my first time visiting Chicago and Roscoe's was actually the first bar that I went to in Boystown. I'm quite surprised by the negative reviews for Roscoe's.
